Multi-Touch Interfaces

I wonder why there hasn't been an emphasis to get these devices into K-12 schools? Imagine what elementary school kids could do/learn with this type of surface. How about high school students manipulating minerals, molecules, compounds, cells, drafting projects, and so much more?

Below are three videos. The first is a CNET video that has an interesting beginning and demonstration of possible applications. The second is a Popular Mechanics presentation of the Microsoft coffee table product. The third is Jeff Han's TED Talk from 2006 -- Can't wait to work with this technology!
